The day the music died

The title "episode 3" on a colourful cosmic background

Growing up, music was a catalyst for self-expression, moving emotions and experiencing my psychic senses-it was a form of somatic therapy that helped me process life as a highly sensitive person and connect with myself amidst the noise.

When I was 22 years old, my dad died in a tragic accident and I found myself in new heights of pain & emotion. Isolated in a small town without support, life became overwhelming and my body mirrored this inner distress. I vomited every time I ate, I broke out into hives when I went to work, and it felt like there was nowhere to put all the feelings. Listening to music became too painful and instead of processing my grief, I shut down a part of myself.

For 11 years I avoided feeling through music, until pregnancy brought this tool back to me out of necessity. Music returned a forgotten piece of my soul, becoming a pivotal part of my spiritual awakening and my first intuitive language.

*Heads up* I briefly describe a death and also mention vomiting.
